Credits

How Lumicat credits work

One balance pays for every image, video and talking-avatar model, wherever you use Lumicat.

Priced up front

Every model has a credit price, and it's shown before a generation runs. Longer videos, higher resolutions and extra inputs can cost more; the quote always reflects the exact settings you picked.

Charged only for results

You're only charged when a result is delivered: if a generation fails or is cancelled, its credits go back to your balance. The one exception is a request the model provider rejects under its content policy, which may keep its credits because the provider has already done the work.

Expiry

Credits stay valid as long as you use them: your balance only expires after 12 months with no credits spent or bought, and spending or buying any credits restarts the clock. Your current balance and its expiry date are shown in the app, in Studio and by the get_account tool in AI assistants.

AI assistants

When you connect Lumicat to ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, generations spend the same balance. The assistant tells you the price before it starts, can be told a maximum to spend on a single request, and is limited to a set number of generations per hour and per day to protect your balance. Credits are never sold inside a chat; you manage them in the Lumicat app or in Lumicat Studio while signed in. More on the connector page.
